The statuette depicts Osiris, the god of resurrection and eternity, with the double crown, holding a feather in one hand and a sceptre in the other.

“The statue was probably concealed in this area by a priest of Saqqara in antiquity,” Farag said, adding that the artefact is undergoing restoration.

  1. It is a crook and flail, the figure is not "holding a feather in one hand and a sceptre in the other."

  2. It is significant that the figure of Osiris holding a sceptre signifying the god's temporal reign on earth and also the murdered king's instrument of a feather to weigh against the hearts of the deceased on scales (and so well elaborated in the film "Gods of Egypt") in the afterlife.
Similarly, the scepter and cpmmander's staff that is ascribed to the Judahites in Genesis 49:10 may have borrowed from the visual imagery from Canaanite kings who substituted a rod for a red lotus flower, perhaps imported from the Indian subcontinent where an indigenous tribe existed in the north that were mentioned in the earliest Vedic literature and this was prior to the invasion of the Aryans.
Well it just so happens that this messianic leader is sipping Soma with eyes red as wine and teeth as white as milk in Genesis 49:12. No doubt that there was a Hurrian presence at Jerusalem during the bronze age, as such had been subjects of the Mittani Empire with its ruling class of Indo-Aryan charioteers, or Maryannu, meaning "Lords of the Sky."
