Greece's ambassador to Russia Andreas Friganas, in his turn, described the exposition as a key event in the history of cultural exchanges between Russian and Greece.

Twenty five Greek museums offered some of their masterpieces to be shown at the exhibition. Director of the State Historical Museum of Russia Aleksei Levykin underlined that visitors to the exhibition can follow the development of Greek art starting from ancient times to the flowering of classicism period.
