A team led by Akdeniz University Archaeology Department Professor Sevket Aktas worked for more than two months this year. This year, they mostly focused on the Acropolis and Basilica.
While the work unearthed significant details regarding the architecture of the Hellenistic era in the Tepecik Acropolis, work on the Basilica revealed a southern nave and workshops belonging to the late era.
Also, a trifoliate-planed door providing access to the church was brought to light. Excavation works included classification and inventory of the artifacts.
Accordingly protection of previous found structures were resumed in the ancient watercourse and water reservoirs.
